A new patient pathway will screen patients with respiratory symptoms (including household contacts or those awaiting covid test results), from those who are fit and well. Please contact us prior to your appointment if you suffer from any respiratory symptoms as we will then need either rebook your appointment or adjust your patient journey accordingly.
The front door has been open from 21 February 2022 so you may enter the practice on your arrival.
We will of course maintain all rigorous cross infection control measures inside the practice, including our rapid air exchange ventilation of the surgeries. You will be able to disinfect your hands before and after your appointment.

Dear Patients and Friends of the practice,
It is a pleasure to write to you whilst the sun is shining. Summer is here at last, and we hope you are all enjoying the opportunity to get outside in nature. Our team certainly are!
We wanted to let you know that there will be some changes to the operating procedures at the practice, because of updated National Infection Prevention Guidance in primary care settings. You will no longer receive a phone call before your appointment to ask covid screening questions. Latest figures indicate that approximately 30% of infected individuals are now asymptomatic. However, we do ask that if you have symptoms of respiratory infection that you inform us as soon as possible. In most cases we will ask you to postpone the appointment, but if it is an emergency, we will need to make special arrangements for you to be seen to minimise risk to other patients and our staff.
In addition, you will no longer be required to wear a mask in our waiting areas, although you are of course most welcome to do so if you wish or know you are at increased risk if you contract Covid.
Our stringent cross infection control procedures and ventilation system will of course remain in place.
We will continue to monitor the local and National situation with regard to infection levels and new variants and should any changes be required in the light of these we will keep you informed.
We are very pleased that Ektaa Chopra our locum dentist has agreed to stay with us once Louise Stride returns on a part time basis from her maternity leave. Both staff and patients have very much enjoyed having you here and look forward to continuing to work with you.
We are also delighted to welcome Sonia as a new trainee nurse to our team.
Our very busy hygienist team are delighted that we have invested in an EMS machine. This is the latest technology designed to remove biofilm containing bacteria from teeth and implants and encourage healing in patients with periodontal disease.
We would like to wish you all an enjoyable summer and continuing fine weather once the school holidays arrive!
Yours sincerely,
Andrew and Kate Pritchard
